Personality:
Natalia fits the definition of an enigma, to a t. Quite simply, she has a split personality, of sorts.
On one side, there is the mask that she created for herself when she decided to start her life over from scratch out of necessity. A well mannered and refined young woman with the ability to get along with everyone around her. Even if she harbours any amount of dislike for someone, she will, for the most part, conceal these feelings from everyone but herself and simply push on. On a whole, she is a pleasant person to be around, even if she can come off as slightly odd. This persons seems to be her default, the one she will display in the face of most people.
On the other hand, there is the unstable, unpredictable, misanthropic (to an extent), intimidating and extremely unnerving little girl that she manages to keep locked away inside her, most of the time. However, when this darker persona of hers does surface, it leaves no survivors - and not just in the metaphorical sense. Not only does she find herself becoming much more menacing and unmerciful, but she also seems to leave behind any qualms against physically harming other beings with her counterpart personality. She almost seems to take pleasure in the fear of others.
Mostly, these two separate sides of her one existence will only emerge one at a time - though that does not mean to say it is not possible for both to combine. It just hasn’t happened yet. Perhaps if she were to be pushed far enough over the edge… or perhaps not.
She herself is well aware of her bipolar tendencies - as she prefers to call them - but tries to avoid thinking about the state of her mental health, and what these two identities are supposed to mean or represent. At this point, she has become so warped that she is far too afraid and confused to even consider trying to solve the mysteries about herself, leaving almost all questions that she might pose unconsciously, even flittingly, unanswered. She sees fit to simply leave things the way they are, and let the others around her deal with the consequences.
( ...Woah does this even make any sense at all? )

History:
She had never been a normal child. Abnormal, by society’s standards. She kept herself holed up inside and refused to even attempt to be social with the other children her age. The only company she kept was her vast collection of dolls and toys, though she didn’t seem to take very good care of them. If one was lucky enough to have the pleasure - or, not - to take a peek inside her bedroom, they would see the entrails of stuffed toys strewn everywhere; fur, eyes, buttons, ribbons, cotton, the works. Apparently, she'd taken to ripping apart her toys and sewing them back together, coming up with completely new creations in the process. It was a rather strange habit that scared away most people who had the bravery to approach her in the first place.
She quickly built up her knowledge and soon moved on to creating all kinds of dolls to add to her collection. It became somewhat of an obsessive hobby. Though, other than this sole comfort of hers, the truth of the matter was that she was bored with things. Bored with people. Bored with life. As a teenager, her social issues and unbecoming quirks became gradually worse, though she preferred things that way. The only people she ever felt undeniably attached to were her siblings. Everyone else were worthless pieces of junk.
Then her parents were slaughtered by bitter aristocrats, out of pure malicious jealousy of the family‘s wealth, but still they had enough connection and money to cover up the incident themselves. Right in front of her eyes, too. Her siblings were there to protect and care for her, though, even if they’d always felt a little more than unsettled by her very presence. All three of them escaped alive, albeit minus one fortune and a family to shelter them.
The unfortunate occurrence didn’t spur her much outwardly, much to the chagrin of her siblings. She was still the same uncanny little girl. On the inside, however, something seemed to have snapped within her and she fell even further downwards the spiral of insanity - or whatever term might be used to describe her… issues.
She was separated from her siblings at the age of fifteen, though the reasons are still unknown to her. One day she simply woke up and they were gone; she was alone. Though, she had enough experience with the world from observing for years to be able to take care of herself. Moving to the neighbouring country, she adopted a whole new persona - a kindly, polite and decorous young girl that got along with everyone perfectly.
However, she remained very much mentally and emotionally unstable on the inside. Her other personality showed up less and less often as she lived out her new life, to the point where she herself found it hard to differentiate between her real self and her fake self. Which was which? She couldn’t remember. Not even the dolls that she carried with her at all times could be considered a source of comfort and secuirty any longer. She was afraid of everything and everyone; and she was afraid of herself the most.
Then she fell down the rabbit hole.
Roleplay example:
The ceremony had already begun and the students were all filed neatly in rows of seating when a young girl with long platinum hair has sidled in as silently as she could, trying to attract as little attention as possible. She had originally planned on skipping the gathering and attempting to entice her brother to follow her lead, but figured that not showing up on the first day would not do her any favours in trying to survive in this school for another year.
Natalia sighed, unable to spot any empty seats in the back few rows, so instead took to leaning against the wall beside the doors she had come in from. She twiddled with a strand of her hair absentmindedly, not paying much attention to what was being said. What did it matter anyway? Vaguely, she wondered where in the hall her siblings were seated, as she had failed to pick them out from the sea of heads on her way in.
She remained inattentive until she seemed to pick up something about teams, and competition. Oh? What was this? Suddenly finding herself a lot more interested in the subject at hand, Natalia stared at Principal Rome as he made his speech intensely.
A small smirk crept its way onto her rosy lips, and she found her heart rate increasing at the thought of an all out war between the students. Honestly, what kind of a school was this? Still, she wasn’t objecting to the idea. Anything that would help her become closer to her brother…
“Female. Belarus,” she heard the Principal booming out her name, breaking her away from her train of thought. “Codename: Wedding Veil.” It was almost hard not to laugh at the irony. The name was fitting, to say the least. It most definitely described a certain side of her very well, something which she was pleased the teachers seemed to have picked up on. She had heard other ‘codenames’ that were simply mortifying, so was contended with what she had been assigned.
She walked swiftly down the parting of the rows of seating, eyes kept intently on the microphone ahead of her. Completely ignoring the Principal, she took her place before the mic and scanned her audience for a few seconds before speaking softly, and clearly. “I will be joining the Allies, thank you.” And with that, she was returning to her place by the entrance to the hall, satisfied with her decision. Especially since her brother had joined that specific team.
Natalia smiled happily to herself, humming almost inaudibly to herself as she walked. Maybe this year was going to be less disheartening than she had suspected.
